Getting ready for making offers

December 10th, 2021

Keep losing out on properties? A first time buyer completely new to this?

Legally I am unable to disclose what other offers are on the table, but I can give you some advice to put you in the best position:

1. Have your Agreement In Principle / Proof of Finances ready.  This shows the seller that your offer is serious & instantly substantiates any offer you make.

2. Have a solicitor in mind.  This again shows you are motivated & that you have things in place ready to act if the offer was accepted.

3. Have your photo ID and proof of address to hand as these will be requested.

4. Finally, if you’re faced with a competitive situation & you’ve fallen in love with the property, don’t be afraid to submit your very best offer straight away!

The above doesn’t guarantee your offer will be accepted over another offer, but it does show that you are a motivated & serious buyer.

If you want to get yourself in this position & still need to sort your finances or solicitors, I work with some fantastic mortgage and legal services who would be happy to help getting you ready for your dream home coming to the market!
